Okay, canon path headcanon: Westopolis: Dark, Shadow playing along with the supposed Promised Time. Digital Circuit: Hero. The Yellow Emerald isn't actually there, but the goal ring IS a portal to the Emerald's approximate location. Shadow returns to Westopolis, but is punished by Black Doom and is sent away. The Black Arms also begin to attack Shadow as punishment. Glyphic Canyon: Dark, Shadow trying to get back under Doom's good graces so he can return to Westopolis. Lethal Highway: Hero. Shadow's after the Emerald, which means not allowing the Black Arms to get away with it. 1st Boss: Black Bull Cryptic Castle: Hero. Eggman isn't necessarily up ahead, so Shadow needs to be more thorough. 2nd Boss: Egg Breaker, but by the time Eggman's retreated, the Emerald is gone! Prison Island: Hero. Circus Park: Neutral. Central City: Dark, manipulated by Black Doom. The Doom: I don't know.
